There should be a GENERAL ELECTION once the Pandemic is over

If people thought Brexit would change everything, this Pandemic has pushed the Brexit issue aside, and has had long-lasting changes to British society.

The economy is predicted to take a greater hit than the 1929 Wall Street Crash and the depression that followed, along with the 2007-2008 Financial Crisis. It might take a few years to fully recover from this.

This is why we NEED a General Election – after the Pandemic is over, the British people MUST have a say on how to recover and rebuild our lives and the economy.

We can’t trust the Tories to lead us until 2024 without having the proper mandate, and this Pandemic has exposed their flawed decade-long austerity measure, along with their initial and continued response to this crisis.

We must ensure that we fully restore our democracy and our civil liberties after the Pandemic is over (and we must stress the word AFTER). Emergency measures must not become life-long authoritarian measures.

It mustn’t be business as usual – there needs to be a radical change, and a General Election will ensure that all parties concentrate on the current key issues that have arisen from this current crisis.

We must all ensure to hold the current government to account. Share this article far and wide. Stay home, stay safe, and keep your distance with others.
