The totalitarian regime has stated controversial comments a day before Trump’s comments that the North Korean regime would be met with “fire and fury” if it threatened the United States.
North Korean officials are saying that the US “would suffer a shameful defeat and final doom if it persists in extreme military adventure, sanctions, and pressure.”
This was issued by the North Korean state agency KCNA, according to CNN.
Trump said: “North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States.”
Trump declined to rule out a preemptive strike on North Korea, saying he won’t discuss potential military options.
“We don’t talk about that. We never do. I don’t talk about it,” Trump told reporters at his golf club in New Jersey when asked about a preemptive strike. “We’ll see what happens.”
