Corbyn’s Labour has surged massively by 16 points in Wales in a stunning come back in the polls for the Labour Party.
The YouGov Welsh political barometer has Labour on 44%, up 9 percentage points on two weeks ago, and the Tories on 34%, down 7 percentage points. This has been confirmed by the Independent.
Labour currently runs the Welsh Government, where Carwyn Jones has been First Minister since 2009. This will be good news for him as it would question his leadership in Welsh Labour if he lost power in Wales – a traditional Labour stronghold.
Every day it seems the idea that the Tories will win a landslide diminishes – this is quite a comeback by Labour.
